rolls around because New Zealand’s just so pretty. This was pretty much what Lake Matheson looked like when we visited it, especially the someone-set-the-mountains-on-fire bit. The camera couldn’t get the irl colours and it just bugged me so much. T.T

Also thrandy dandy sketch. I’ll probably upload a clean version but that’ll be a few days from now.

Well it’s been a while and I return from my trip tomorrow! But in the meantime have some unedited sketches from me.

A page full of birds, and a robin (with references)

Bird drawings are live sketches/doodles of predatory birds from Wingspan in New Zealand: http://www.wingspan.co.nz/ if anyone (especially bird enthusiasts) has a chance to visit them, I recommend it. They’re more about rescuing birds of prey (concentration on conservation of New Zealand falcons) than displaying them like a zoo. An entrance fee is required and they’re not a very big place but the money goes straight to their funding because they are not government funded.

The flight show was really cool and I probably learned more than I did from any zoo I’ve been to. And we saw Ozzy too, the New Zealand falcon that whose face will adorn the new currency. And the staff are all friendly, know a lot about the birds and are really fond of them.
